Ranking rules
Each launch week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC. Products in a week are ranked by weighted upvotes. Ties go to the product that sent more visitors, then to the one approved first.
How much an upvote counts
You sign in with GitHub. The age of your GitHub account when you vote sets the weight of that vote:

The upvote number shown on a product is the plain count. The ranking uses the weighted total.
Paying never changes rank
Premium launches choose their week, get a followed link and are labelled Premium. They do not receive extra votes or extra weight. Each week has 20 free slots and 10 Premium slots.
Visitors sent
When someone opens a product's site from MadeThisWeek, we count one visit for that product. The same person counts once per product per UTC day. We store a salted one-way hash for this, never the IP address or browser details themselves.
What we remove
Vote trading, accounts created to vote, misleading listings and anything illegal or unsafe. Removed launches lose their place on the board.
